Lior Abraham is an accomplished entrepreneur, author, and technical expert with a remarkable track record in the fields of technology and data analytics. With a passion for building and a commitment to driving meaningful change, Lior has made significant contributions throughout his career.

As the founder of Scuba Analytics (http://scuba.io), Lior has led the development of an innovative hyper-powerful, hyper-visual data full stack analysis platform that empowers organizations to unlock valuable insights from their data. His leadership and expertise have positioned Scuba Analytics as a leading player in the industry, revolutionizing the way businesses harness the power of data. Scuba is used by some of the largest players in tech, companies that know from data tools and choose Scuba Analytics.

One of Lior Abraham's early achievements was working on the small team building Facebook's first real-time Newsfeed that became the flagship of the site. This was a massive feat, pre-dating Twitter or any other real time Newsfeed and involving massive computational power to create a completely custom generated feed unique to each person, and and unique to each time you view it. Another of Lior's notable achievements is his role as builder of the Facebook Obama inauguration CNN partnership live feed. This project, documented on Facebook Engineering and covered by Mercury News, demonstrated their technical prowess and ability to handle large-scale events with precision and efficiency. It was key to the company as the first off-Facebook integration. During his time at Facebook, Lior gained cross-site expertise of the backend infrastructure and worked to root-cause many of the most critical cross-site performance mysteries. In this endeavor he learned to build useful data tools to increase transparency into the site. When he built Facebooks internal "Scuba" tool during remote work, it grew to be the most popular data tool, and remarkably still in use actively by more than 50% of the company's employees each month.

Lior has published several papers, including a notable paper titled "Diving into Data at Facebook." This publication, available at VLDB, showcases tools for deep understanding of data analytics and the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights. The technology behind this has been used by companies including Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, Tinder, Uber and Apple.

Lior's programming skills have been recognized through their participation in contests. He has competed in the ACM World Programming Contest, showcasing engineering abilities on a global stage. Additionally, Lior emerged as a winner in the Berkeley Programming Contest, further solidifying his reputation as a top-notch programmer.

Lior's contributions to the field of data analytics and their expertise in developing cutting-edge solutions have been recognized by the academic community. His paper on Scuba.io's capabilities, ranked highly on Semantic Scholar, has garnered attention and acclaim.

Lior has been active in politics, working in over 10 consecutive two year election cycles. In 2016 he worked at the Chicago headquarters on technology for the Obama campaign's "get out the vote" (gotv) elect day technology platform .

Lior has also shared expertise and insights through various articles, including those featured on Fuel Capital, Duuoo.io, Inside Big Data, TDWI, The New Stack, TechCrunch, Bloomberg, ChicoER, Business Insider, CNET, and Hacker News. His ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner has made him a sought-after thought leader in the industry.

Lior has authored a number of patents, ranging from low level TCP client-server connection technology, to social network engineering, to technology for fast datasystems.

    • Patent Title: Methods for Enhancing Rapid Data Analysis
      • Patent Number: 20220147530
      • Date: January 21, 2022
      • Summary: This patent presents a method for enhancing rapid data analysis. It involves receiving a set of data, storing it in data shards based on a field, and identifying anomalous data by monitoring the range of shard indices associated with a particular shard. Anomalies are detected by comparing the range of shard indices to an expected range and considering data within the shard as anomalous if it falls below a threshold value.
